The sun has definitely got his hat on!

What a beautiful few days! So unexpected for February but very well received. We went for a walk along the beach this morning enjoying the views, warmth and the very tasty hot chocolate! I’ve seen this weather being described as false spring but nature seems to think it pretty real with the daffodils, snowdrops, crocuses and lambs! I love this time of year as we get a glimpse of whats soon to come.

If the sun has made you think about holidays at the seaside and ice creams then here’s a little reminder of what Weymouth has to offer this year:

quayside festival

Quayside Music Festival – local bands and a cold beer in the sun – what more could you ask for? This year on the 20th and 21st April and again on the 4th and 5th May. We certainly enjoyed an hour or two last year listening to the music, along with a beer or two 🙂

Family Day at Nothe Fort on 26th May, over the bank holiday weekend. Dress in 1940s style and join in the fun.

If folk music is your thing then the Wessex Folk Festival on the 31st May and the 1st and 2nd June

Armed Forces Day from the 22nd to 24th June. Tanks, uniforms and even a spitfire. Last year had the added backdrop of beautiful sunshine.

The Seafood Festival, this year sponsored by Nyetimber Wines on the 13th and 14th July – we were booked up immediately after last years event but have one room left if you are interested.

Weymouth & Portland Pride  from the 26th to 28th July – the first ever for Weymouth with lots planned for every age group. Greenhill

Greenhill Gardens hold live music looking over the bay every Sunday afternoon in the summer starting on the 19th May.

Just a taster with lots more still in the planning stage.

The late afternoon sun shining into our rooms at the back looks beautiful at this time of year as it sets – come see.
