We have been offering a quality stay since November 2017, improving our rooms year on year, honing our hospitality skills and generally loving what we do, which makes many of our guests return year after year. In recognition we have been awarded Gold In the Dorset Tourism Awards in the Best B&B category and Best of the Best from Tripadvisor for the third year in a row! Attention to detail is key to the service we provide and this has been acknowledged in our numerous awards.
All guest rooms are en-suite, with tasteful decoration and comfortable beds – really important after a busy day exploring the beautiful county of Dorset. We are conveniently located and easy to find with free onsite parking, making St John’s Guest House the ideal place to enjoy your stay in Weymouth. And just a short stroll from the train station.
We are a professional yet friendly couple, and pride ourselves on our knowledge of the beautiful Dorset sights nearby, along with the best places to eat. Did you know Weymouth has many award winning restaurants, all within walking distance of St Johns! There’s Catch at the Old Fish Market and Les Enfants Terrible overlooking the picturesque harbour. Some useful FAQs
- Do you have parking? Yes! We are lucky that where we are situated in Weymouth, as well as a short stroll to the beach or harbour, we also have free parking onsite. This is included in your booking cost.
- What is your check in time? Check in is from 3pm and check out is by 11am. We can of course be flexible if needed – just ask!
- Do you take children? Yes! We do have facilities for children over the age of 6 years. We have two beautiful family rooms that are just perfect.
- Do you take pets? Sadly no. Although we do love our 4-legged friends, especially Bella, we are a not suitable for dogs to stay.
- Do you have a bar? No we don’t as there are many good pubs in Weymouth. However we are licenced to sell alcohol and stock prosecco and champagne for your special occasion – just ask.
- Do you have a guest lounge? Yes we do on the first floor with comfortable sofas, floor cushions and a large screen smart TV. Please note – the guest lounge may not be available if booked as part of the Baddesley Suite.
- Can we book your whole house? Yes! We are lucky enough to have a small, but perfectly formed, kitchen integral to the guest lounge on the first floor. So a whole house rental is perfect for those big family occasions or to meet up with friends. More details here.
- Can you store bikes and is there nearby bike hire? Yes we do have a container on site so can securely store bikes. There is also a local bike hire company that offer an excellent service.
